BRAIN DRAIN Brain drain is a term indicating a substantial migration of individual. Brain drain offen occurs between countries or cities where people find better opportunity. They may move for jobs or better living standard. Brain Drain can also refer to the movement of professionals between cooperation or industries for better pay or opportunity. Brain Drain causes industries, companies and countries to lose a core portion of professionals. There are two major drawbacks of Brain Drain: Expertise is lost with each emigrant, fall off the supply of that profession and The country's economy is harmed because each professional represents surplus spending units. Causes of Brain Drain: Some of the main reasons why people choose to leave their home countries/regions include: Economic opportunities, including new and better jobs, higher standards of living, access to housing and health care.
